The Demand of Jewelry in Modern Society

Jewelry is known as a symbol of wealth, because it is made of some precious metals and gemstone, such as silver or gold. For those special materials that build the beauty of jewelry, it often comes with the word 'expensive'. But not today, as jewelry has been made to adorn nearly every body part, from hairpins to toe rings and becomes part of the fashion trend, fashion industry answer the needs of fashionista by providing various types of jewelry, and the most important, affordable jewelry.

Although they come with more affordable price, in fact, some people are still looking for fashion jewelry wholesale. As fashionista demand the wholesale to add their collection, some people are just looking for a cheaper price tag, because as the time goes by, the quality of fashion jewelry is getting better. Nowadays, modern fashion jewelry incorporates a wide range of materials, such as gold- or silver-plated brass, and sometimes vermeil or sterling silver. High end crystals, cubic zirconia simulated diamonds, and some semi-precious stones are used in place of precious stones. This improvement makes fashion jewelry no longer a cheap jewelry, but sometimes could trouble our pocket.

Jewelry is one of the oldest forms of body adornment and sometimes regarded as a way of showing wealth and might also possess some minimal functionality, such as holding a garment together or keeping hair in place. It has from very early times been regarded as a form of personal adornment.

The demand for jewelry evolved from a symbol of wealth becomes the ornament to perfect our outfit in every occasion. Fashion jewelry or costume jewelry is the first jewelry manufactured as ornamentation for the masses to complement a particular fashionable garment or "costume". Its main use is in fashion, as opposed to "real" jewelry which may be regarded primarily as collectibles, keepsakes, or investments. Fashion jewelry is made of less valuable materials including base metals, glass, plastic, and synthetic stones; in place of more valuable materials such as precious metals and gems.
